Lodging

The Rapids Resort has four fully furnished riverside cabins available, along with a modern mobile home just steps away. The comfortably rustic three season riverside cabins have two bedrooms, kitchen, a bath with shower, a screened in porch by the river, picnic table, fire pit, grills, and much more. The year around mobile home is an ideal getaway for snowmobiling, rafting, hunting and for the fall color show. The spacious, two bedroom mobile home is fully furnished including color TV and other comforts. Rates These rates cover the first four guests. Additional guests are an additional $10.00 per guest per night. Dining

Tony and Jackie, John and Kelly, Marilyn and the rest of their crew make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. The friendly, experienced wait staff tends to every detail to assure the best dining experience possible. The beautiful dining room at the Rapids Resort offers a spectacular view of the Peshtigo River to compliment some of the best food in the area.  The Rapids Resort offers weekend breakfast and a daily lunch and dinner menu with a wide variety of soups and sandwiches, Italian specialty dishes including homemade pizza and an exceptionally good Friday fish fry, voted best walleye by Silvercliff.com. Recent menu additions include their Thursday Spaghetti Dinner Special. Follow your meal with a desert or a specialty drink from the bar. Bar and Game Room

Beautifully appointed in knotty pine, the Rapids Resort bar and game room is fun-time central. The juke box plays popular music through a top quality sound system as the 5 TVs play whitewater rafting videos. Groups of people are watching themselves playing in the rapids on the TV, and are enjoying a cold beverage, recounting the days excitement. Everyone came here to have fun. Someone is writing their name on the ceiling, a reminder of their big adventure... The Himalayan snow yeti hanging in the bar is known around the world. Thousands of people have wondered what it is, or is supposed to be. While it really looks like an upside down deer hinder with teeth, when asked, they will tell you about the snow yeti. Deer rear, or snow yeti? . . . You decide. The Rapids Resort has your needs covered if you are camping next door with Kosir's too. Ice, package goods, food and drink, ice cream and much more is available here for the visiting camper.

Rafting Videos and Photos

The Rapids Resort is the home base of Riversport Digital Photography. They are an exclusive service of Kosir's Rafting and Rapids Resort. They use digital technology to catch the whitewater action, and by the time you get off of the river, your pictures are on display on computers in the Resort. If you like your picture, they print it out right there while you wait, or you can get your photos on CD. You can buy a video of your raft trip on DVD, including your buddy wiping out. If you forget to buy your photos or video while you are here, you can always order it by mail. All you need to know is the date and time of your rafting trip and we will handle the rest. Four Seasons of Fun

The Rapids Resort is a great place to visit any time of year. We are ideally located on the eastern edge of the Nicolet National Forest and the northern edge of the newly designated Peshtigo River State Forest surrounding the beautiful and mostly undeveloped shores of Caldron Falls Flowage and High Falls Flowage. Also close by is the Tommy G. Thompson Centenniel State Park. Rapids Resort is a member of the Iron Snowshoe Snowmobile Club, and the trail starts at the end of the driveway. One way, the trail takes you into the remote forests to the north and west. One popular destination is the Carter Casino, under an hour by trail. To the south and east is the action of the Caldron Falls and High Falls Flowage areas. Either way you choose, the clubs keep the trails in first class condition. Any season is right for fishing. Marinette County boasts the most trout streams of any county in the State, and there is a fly fishing area on the Peshtigo River just south of High Falls Flowage. This area also offers many small lakes and rivers as well as the Flowages, and everything from blue gills and crappies to trophy Muskie can be caught. Hunting is also a popular area activity with an abundance of public hunting land close by. The Marinette County Waterfall Tour is another popular attraction. There are over a dozen waterfalls listed, and many are easily accessable. Pick up a Marinette County Directory for a map and detailed directions. This area also has ATV trails, hiking and cross-country ski trails and a multitude of other recreational activities to please any outdoor enthusiast. Location/Directions

The Rapids Resort is located on the banks of the Peshtigo River at County Hwy C in Silver Cliff, Wisconsin. This is about 80 miles north of Green Bay, and 20 miles northwest of Crivitz. From Green Bay, Wisconsin, follow US Hwy 141 about 50 miles north to Crivitz. In Crivitz, turn left at the stoplight, onto highway A. Follow A out of town, and continue past highway X to highway C, about 15 miles from Crivitz. Turn left onto C, and follow it 9 miles to the Peshtigo River. On the left side of the road just before the river is the Rapids Resort.
